When Noah first arrived at our preschool in western Sydney, he barely spoke. Coming from a home facing financial hardship and emotional strain, he often sat alone, withdrawn, clutching a small toy car for comfort.
Our teachers met him with patience, prayer, and play. Through gentle encouragement, daily Bible stories, and group learning, Noah began to find his voice.
“The first time we heard him sing during morning worship, we all stopped and smiled,” recalls Miss Hannah, one of our teachers. “It was like hearing joy itself.”
Now, Noah not only speaks confidently — he helps other shy children feel welcome. His favourite song? “Jesus Loves Me.”
“Noah’s story reminds us,” says his mother, “that love and faith can unlock what fear holds back.”

Sophie, a three-year-old from a single-parent family in Melbourne, joined Grace Works Kids when her mum lost her job and could no longer afford childcare.
At first, Sophie was anxious and quiet. But soon, she began to thrive — surrounded by caring teachers, new friends, and stories of faith that taught her she was deeply loved.
“She comes home singing songs about kindness,” her mum says. “She prays for her friends before bedtime. That never happened before.”
Sophie’s journey is a living example of what your support makes possible — a little girl who once felt uncertain now shines with confidence, faith, and laughter.
